IVL is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand and is established in 19 countries in four major regions of the world – Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, and Africa. The corporate structure of IVL comprises of five business segments viz., Ethylene Oxide/Glycols, PTA, PET, Polyester and Wool.
IVL commenced its business in Thailand in 1994 with worsted wool yarn facility in Thailand. IVL entered the petrochemical industry with the establishment of a PET resin facility in Thailand in 1995.
IVL entered the polyester business in 1997 with the acquisition of Indo Poly, a polyester fiber plant in Thailand
In a proactive move towards maximizing its value chain and operational synergies, IVL has expanded its PET and Polyester businesses in recent years through Merger & Acquisition & Green Field Projects.
Towards goal of vertical integration, IVL entered into the PTA business with the acquisition of three PTA plants in 2008. In 2012, IVL pursued integration further with an entry into MEG in the USA by acquisition Old World.
