Production is carried out in a modern factory and high-end technology and stringent quality control measures ensure that the exacting standard, that is synonymous with the Nilar brand, is consistently achieved. All production processes and facilities are certified to have met Halal standards. Having brought to where it was, Mr. Tin Hla realized then that he needed to diversify his business. It was then (1995) that he started “Innwa Cold Drinks And Confectionary” fast food outlet and today there are three bakery houses which now markets its wide range of baked products. In 1998, Mr.Tin Hla introduced his eldest son, Mr.Tin Myint Ni, in the business arena to help him bring the business to another level. Fresh ideas and innovative marketing strategies, in sync with changing consumer trends, were implemented. A pivotal decision regarding diversification of business was made .Though the food industry was the upbringing of the Company, it decided to venture into other industries. In 2000, the company set up a paper mill under the name “Nilar Paper Mill” which produces recycled paper for the local market. International trading was at its boom during 2000’s, Nilar Company decided to follow the trend and registered itself under “Nilar Star International Co. Ltd”. The company entered into export & import trading business with a wide range of products right from car parts, iron for construction to consumer products. The company also exported beans, rice and fishery products. In 2003, the Company started the trial production for making virgin pulp for rice straw. After doing a year long research for the same, the Company started the commercial production of high quality unbleached rice strawpulp. The havoc created by 2006 Cyclone Nargis did not leave the Mill untouched. The Company had to spent a fortune to rebuilt the Mill. It was then the company decided to stop the local paper production and focus only on pulp production for Export The Company’s focus shifted towards the “Agro-products”. Import of Urea was started in 2005 but by 2008 the Company started producing Straw Pulp on large scale. In 2015, Company had over 1000 full time and 200 part time-project based employees. The Company started farming in 2010, currently it does farming on 7000 hectare of land. To handle day to day operations, separate offices were opened. Nilar has since evolved. It has 35 restaurants all over Yangon. It now specializes in the manufacture and sales of a State of the art technology wide range of very affordable high quality food products including the signature biryani. Production is carried out in a modern factory and high-end technology and stringent quality control measures ensure that the exacting standard, that is synonymous with the Nilar brand, is consistently achieved. All production processes and facilities are certified to have met Halal standards. Having brought to where it was, Mr. Tin Hla realized then that he needed to diversify his business. It was then (1995) that he started “Innwa Cold Drinks And Confectionary” fast food outlet and today there are three bakery houses which now markets its wide range of baked products. In 1998, Mr.Tin Hla introduced his eldest son, Mr.Tin Myint Ni, in the business arena to help him bring the business to another level. Fresh ideas and innovative marketing strategies, in sync with changing consumer trends, were implemented. A pivotal decision regarding diversification of business was made .Though the food industry was the upbringing of the Company, it decided to venture into other industries. In 2000, the company set up a paper mill under the name “Nilar Paper Mill” which produces recycled paper for the local market. International trading was at its boom during 2000’s, Nilar Company decided to follow the trend and registered itself under “Nilar Star International Co. Ltd”. The company entered into export & import trading business with a wide range of products right from car parts, iron for construction to consumer products. The company also exported beans, rice and fishery products. In 2003, the Company started the trial production for making virgin pulp for rice straw. After doing a year long research for the same, the Company started the commercial production of high quality unbleached rice strawpulp. The havoc created by 2006 Cyclone Nargis did not leave the Mill untouched. The Company had to spent a fortune to rebuilt the Mill. It was then the company decided to stop the local paper production and focus only on pulp production for Export The Company’s focus shifted towards the “Agro-products”. Import of Urea was started in 2005 but by 2008 the Company started producing Straw Pulp on large scale. In 2015, Company had over 1000 full time and 200 part time-project based employees. The Company started farming in 2010, currently it does farming on 7000 hectare of land. To handle day to day operations, separate offices were opened. Group of companies were formed and their names were altered according to the respective sector they dealt with.

The Nilar Group Of Company is a well known diversified group in Myanmar.
