Job description
• Ensure effective collaboration and coordination across nutrition, child protection and child poverty projects and among Project Managers and other sector Managers and Operational Managers in the field. React quickly and decisively to bring any internal team challenges and problems to a swift and satisfactory resolution.
• Provide and support capacity building for project teams to ensure staff have the technical and management skills and competencies required to lead and develop effective programs.
• Support HoP in identifying and documenting of performance that is less than satisfactory, develop appropriate performance improvements/ work plans and take appropriate performance management actions in line with country programme/SCI policy, in consultation with the HoP.

Leadership and Representation
• Represent Save the Children at national and international events and forums and proactively explore opportunities to engage in advocacy work in Nutrition, Social Protection, livelihoods and Decent work to change policies and practices for wider and lasting impact on the lives of children in Myanmar.
• Serve as point of contact with program partners in the field and in Yangon.
• Together with the HoP, Technical Advisors and Sector Leads, coordinate with a range of stakeholders including: international and national NGOs, UN agencies, donors and government and ministries and mobilize their support for effective implementation.

Programme Growth and Learning
• Ensure project learning informs nutrition, social protection and livelihoods programme implementation and contributes to advocacy actions and initiatives and support the Sector Leads in the development of key documents within the SCI MEAL system (Country Annual Plan, Country Strategy Paper, Total Reach, Advocacy Measurement Tool and Country Annual Report) and donor M&E systems
• In line with the sector’s strategies and tools, ensure that projects implement detailed M&E plans, linked to the programme wide MEAL system.
• In collaboration with Project Managers, ensure that project reports and publications are of a high quality and produced on time in line with agreed deadlines with support from Sector Leads , Techincal advisors and HOP.

Project Delivery and Quality
• Support Project Managers and their teams implement projects in line with project plans and work with them and their teams to innovate and be responsive to changing internal and external factors. Support teams and partners for the regular update of their detailed implementation plans.
• Maintain an overview of project budgets and work with Project Manager(s), HOP and Sector Lead to develop timely solutions to projects’ under and over spends in line with SC Member and donor requirements. Provise continuous support to Project Managers in timely identifying and mitigating under/overspending risks and act accordingly in coordination with HoP.
• Liaise with Awards, Finance, Logistics, MEAL and other Sector Leads on behalf of projects to ensure that all financial and programmatic commitments to SC Members and donors are met on time and in accordance with SC policies and standards.
• Ensure that teams have access to the technical and management support they need to deliver high quality projects and coordinate in the field with other implemented programs.
• In coordination with the technical advisors, support field teams in supporting civil society partners including capacity building, planning and technical support.

Other
• Any other task requested by HOP (representation, translations, proposal, etc.).
• Support emergency preparedness planning if needed and provide technical input and support to staff developing and implementing emergency response programmes

Child Safeguarding Responsibility:
Ensure that your staff is providing all beneficiaries of your programme with ongoing, age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
Desired Skills and Expertise
• At least Bachelor Degree. May be undertaking or finalized a professional qualification like a CPA, or Masters program.
• Willingness and skills for self-learning.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• At least 4 years of experience in at least one of the related fields (food security, livelihoods, nutrition, social protection, community mobilization, youth employment, decent work etc. – experience and skills in youth skills building and youth employment will be considered an asset)
• Work experience in Myanmar context required.
• Good personal coordination and organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and think and plan strategically
• Proven experience in effective programme planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, report writing and financial and budgetary control.
