Do you want to run in the race? Or do you want to win it? Anyone can come up with a grand plan and talk about it. Very few people will be able to put it into action, and fewer still will stick with it until the end. If there is one thing that you can learn from all those reality shows where people try to set up restaurants or renovate houses, it's that not everybody has the heart for a long battle. In fact, it's as plain as day that some of those people shouldn’t even bother turning up because they are not for real.

There are far too many people around who are lying to themselves. They talk about what they can do but they never do anything. If you're not prepared to put the work in, no idea will ever be anything more than a dream, no matter how good it is. You have to be prepared to put in the hard miles and not give up. You have to commit and not think of quitting when it gets too hard. There are probably more people who start something and quit than people who quit because they fail.
