Facebook မွ ၎တို႔ရဲ႕ မ်က္ႏွာသြင္ျပင္လကၡဏာကို ဖတ္ရႈမွတ္သားႏိုင္သည့္ software အား အသုံးျပဳမႈရပ္ဆိုင္းေတာ့မည္ဟု ေၾကျငာခ်က္ထုတ္ျပန္

၂၀၂၁ ခုႏွစ္၊ ႏိုဝင္ဘာလ ၂ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ Facebook ရဲ႕ ပင္ရင္းကုမၸဏီျဖစ္တဲ့ Meta Platforms Inc (ယခင္ Facebook Inc) မွ ၎တို႔ရဲ႕ “Face Recognition” စနစ္ကို အသုံးျပဳေနျခင္းအား လာမည့္ရက္သတၱပတ္အနည္းငယ္အတြင္း ရပ္ဆိုင္းသြားေတာ့မွာျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း blog post တစ္ခုေပၚမွတဆင့္ ေၾကျငာမႈျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။

Meta Platforms Inc မွ ၎တို႔အေနနဲ႔ “အဆိုပါ facial recognition စနစ္ကိုအသုံးျပဳျခင္းေၾကာင့္ ရရွိလာမည့္ အက်ိဳးေက်းဇူးမ်ားကို ပိုမိုႀကီးထြားလာလွ်က္ရွိေနတဲ့ လူမႈေရးဆိုင္ရာျပႆနာမ်ားနဲ႔ ႏႈိင္းယွဥ္စဥ္းစားဖို႔ လိုအပ္ေနၿပီျဖစ္ၿပီး အထူးသျဖင့္ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားဘက္မွ အဆိုပါနည္းပညာနဲ႔ပတ္သက္ၿပီး အသုံးျပဳႏိုင္ဖို႔ရာအတြက္ တိက်တဲ့ စည္းမ်ဥ္းစည္းကမ္းမ်ားကို သတ္မွတ္ထားႏိုင္ျခင္းမရွိေသးတဲ့အတြက္ facial recognition နည္းပညာကို အသုံးျပဳျခင္းမွ ရပ္ဆိုင္းဖို႔ဆုံးျဖတ္လိုက္တာျဖစ္တယ္” လို႔ ေျပာၾကားခဲ့ပါတယ္။

Facebook ရဲ႕ platform ေပၚတြင္ ယခင္က ၎တို႔ရဲ႕ ဓါတ္ပုံမ်ားနဲ႔ video မ်ားတြင္ မည္သည့္သူမ်ားကို tag ျပဳလုပ္သင့္သလဲဆိုသည္အား အႀကံျပဳႏိုင္ဖို႔အတြက္ႏွင့္ အသုံးျပဳသူတစ္ဦးရဲ႕ ဓါတ္ပုံတစ္ပုံပုံကို အျခားေသာ အသုံးျပဳသူတစ္ဦးမွ upload ျပဳလုပ္လိုက္တဲ့အခါ ကာယကံရွင္ထံသို႔ အသိေပးႏိုင္ရန္အတြက္ ယခင္ကတည္းက အသုံးျပဳေနခဲ့တာ အခ်ိန္ကာလတစ္ခုၾကာျမင့္ခဲ့ၿပီးျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ဒီအေျပာင္းအလဲေၾကာင္း ယခုအခါ ဒီ Face Recognition setting ကို ခြင့္ျပဳထားတဲ့ user မ်ားရဲ႕ facial recognition template မ်ားကို delete ျပဳလုပ္သြားေတာ့မွာျဖစ္ၿပီး ၎တို႔ရဲ႕ဓါတ္ပုံႏွင့္ video မ်ား အျခားေသာတစ္ေနရာတြင္ ပါဝင္ေနမႈရွိ/ မရွိကို memory မ်ား၊ ဓါတ္ပုံမ်ား၊ ဗီဒီယိုမ်ားေပၚတြင္ ရွာေဖြေပးႏိုင္ေတာ့မွာမဟုတ္ေတာ့တဲ့အျပင္ Facebook ကို အသုံးျပဳေနသူမ်ားအေနနဲ႔ tag ျပဳလုပ္ဖို႔ အႀကံျပဳခ်က္မ်ားကိုေတြ႕ျမင္ရေတာ့မွာမဟုတ္သလို suggested tagging လုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္ကိုလည္း ဖြင့္လွစ္၍ရမွာမဟုတ္ေတာ့ေၾကာင္း သိရွိရပါတယ္။
