Financial Controller

Financial Controller supervises accounting activities of a company. It is often second in command within the finance team behind Finance Director. Financial Controller ensures financial reports are properly done and all accounts are documented in a correct way.

Main the role of a Financial Controller are:

Preparing financial statements
Compiling budgets
Calculating profit and loss
Preparing cost analysis and recommend on how the business should spend in more efficient way
Presenting all financial reports and development back to the business

Can I be a Financial Controller?

Successful Financial Controller depends upon his/her numerical ability. You will need to have a passion for mathematics, and a close attention to detail. Multi-tasking and excellent decision-making skills are always crucial

Other key skills and attributes are:

Excellent analytical skills
Superior financial acumen
Able to stick to strict financial deadlines
Good interpersonal and presentation skills
The ability to maintain objectivity at all times
Working under pressure

Qualifications

Almost all Financial Controller positions require previous experience. Good knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices are also the main preroquisites.
