In short forgot about previous unsuccessful interviews, because each interview presents a new challenge and opportunity. I particular remember that:

Each interview is a new opportunity to market yourself
Interviewers are human too and suffer from nerves just like you
To get to the interview stage means that you have passed the initial selection
You only get interviewed if the interviewer thinks you can do the job
It’s your opportunity to as question about the job, your chance to interview them

You will be far less nervous if you prepare thoroughly and apply some common steps.

Learn about the organization; practice the answer to question that most likely to be asked. Ask some good friend, family member to simulate the interview and questions. Ask for honest and critic feedback, learn from it and improve the weak parts.

In the week before the interview

Research the job thoroughly
Prepare for likely question
Visualize interview success and enjoyment
Talk about that, stress can be reduced by talking others

The day before

Relax
Visualize the interview scene
Run through your prepared answer
Structure your day, don’t just wait for tomorrow
Take some exercise, it’s excellent way of reducing tension
Get plenty of rest and a good night sleep

The day of the interview

Remember, this is an opportunity not a threat
Eat something, or your stomach will talk for you
If you feel stressed, take some good deep breaths
Visualize the situation and concentrate on success
Think positively and this will help you to be positive
Reach to the interviewer as an individual not as an enemy
Be kind to yourself; you can only do your best

Remember that stress is a feature of modern life and that it’s not unusual to have problems – everyone suffers at some time.
