Following six factors are reckoned to be the most influential; the list is in order of importance:
- Personality. How you present yourself as a person
- Experience. The experience you have which is relevant to the job
- Qualifications. The qualifications you have which are relevant to the job
- Background. Your general work background and track record
- Enthusiasm. How motivated and interested your appear to be about the job
- Education. Your general level of education achievement
The list reinforces the critical need to make a powerful and positive impression on the interviewer. It also stresses the need to related experience, qualifications and general work background to the job in question, and to give the impression that you’re an energetic and motivated individual with a genuine interest in the work and the employer's organization.
