Figure out what you are good at and what you can do in the real world. What are your skills? What are your dreams? How can you make them match? You may have to be a bit cold about this. And you may have to water down or fine-tune a dream to match your skills. It's good to aim high but make sure you've got the arrow to shoot that far. You need to have a firm idea of what you are going for. If you are too airy fairy, it just won't work. Ideally, it will play to your strengths. And if you've read this far, you will have realized that you have some.

Part of thinking is believing. You need to believe in yourself, no matter what others think of you. When I said fight for your optimism, I meant that this is a fight. Every day your biggest enemy won't be your own limits. It will be the people you know well and don't know well who will play on your mind. They will tell you that you can't do it, that you are stupid and that you will be unhappy. Use their words to make you fight even harder.
