Job description
Actively identify and pursue new business development opportunities and clients in coordination with Stonestep Business Development Manager.
Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
Serve as the primary communication link between clients and Stonestep internal teams and ensure timely project implementation
Develop and maintain business and trust relationships with a portfolio of targeted clients.
Acquire a thorough understanding of key client needs and requirements and continuously propose solutions that meet their objectives.
Ensure projects are delivered to clients on schedule and in budget
Resolve all issues and problems quickly and professionally with clients
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors to support project implementation and success
Prepare monthly progress reports and quarterly forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Report to the Business Development Manager, or in his/her absence, to the Program Manager and/or Managing Director.

What we do
At Stonestep, we target partnerships with Microfinance organizations, mobile operators, mobile money providers, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, electronic retailers and other corporations to deliver last-mile risk protection services to their customers.

Desired Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, sales, marketing or a related field
5+ years in Client Management, Sales, Business Development
Experience in Telecom, banking, microfinance, and development a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Excellent problem-solving skills, client sales and negotiation
Contract management experience a plus
Excellent organizational skills


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Knowledge of Gmail Suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
Budgeting and financial reporting experience in administrative purpose
Self-starter, hard-working and detail-oriented
Entrepreneurial and open to new challenges


Language skills English (Advanced)
