Job description
Perform day to day administrative work to support all functions of the organization, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, paying bills/invoices, coordinating reporting with appropriate government authorities.
Manage the department’s front-desk telephone center and address queries accordingly
Assist Operation Manager with the hiring process, including preparing job descriptions, submitting job postings online, screening candidates by telephone, and scheduling candidate interviews
Maintain Stonestep human resources database by inputting information on new hires, vacations, sick leaves, etc.
Track and update employee timesheets weekly. Hold employees accountable and report weekly to Operations Manager and Finance Manager
Track employees’ requests for leave and provide relevant information to Finance Manager
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data such as absences, bonuses, and leaves on a weekly basis.
Provide office support in the screening, interviewing, and testing of applicants
Notify existing staff of available internal positions or opportunities
Assist HR managers / and line Managers to obtain temporary staff from contract agencies
Prepare reports and presentations, both for internal and external purposes including meeting notes from internal/external meetings
Assist Managing Director with monthly expense reporting
Assist Managing Director and local operations with travel and accommodation research and booking when requested.
Work on human resources policies and procedures
Report to the Operations Manager and coordinate with MD

What we do
At Stonestep, we target partnerships with Microfinance organizations, mobile operators, mobile money providers, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, electronic retailers and other corporations to deliver last-mile risk protection services to their customers.


Desired Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
HR certificate will be a great advantage
3+ years in HR and/or administrative management
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and the basic understanding of Excel for data entry)
Knowledge of Gmail Suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English


Language skills English (Intermediate)
