Job description
1. Basic understanding SMSC, USSD & other telecom and Networking, VAS domain, SS7 and telecom concepts. 2. Working knowledge of Oracle, mySQL, Java, Linux, Tomcat, Linux and Solaris. 3. Initial trouble shooting skills for OS/applications/Interfaces /DBs 4. Vendor & 3rd party co-ordination skills ,Monitoring & Reporting 5. Carry out routine activities & checklists 6. Taking ownership of customer issues until resolved, escalated or resolved 7. Exposure in ITIL based processes on Fault Management, Change Management / Configuration Management, Problem management and Performance management. 8. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix/Linux. 9. Monitor service through tools. Available 24X7 for support. 10.

General Abilities
1. Excellent working familiarity with NMS tools , Ticketing tools and MS Excel 2. A Self starter – must be productive with minimal direction 3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment 4. Good presentation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities/Principle Accountabilities:
• Monitoring the implementation & operation of defined controls and recommendations on an ongoing basis via client Team
• Support all Project & Operations as Level 1 support
• Understand operator's working guidelines, technology, framework etc
• Make policy changes as per guidelines given by Client
• Patch updating and signature pattern updating required for firewall / IDS
• Password Policy Enforcement & Server and Database hardening
• Application of Security patches for OS / DB and other Applications Rigorous
• Change Management with respect changes to App
• Provide Tech Support using FAQs/MOPs and assign problems to backend support team if higherlevel support is required.
• Interacting with customers for front-ending all Support related issues
• Raising Ticket to third party vendor for Hardware support
• Ensuring the closer of cases with in defined Support SLAs
• Awareness of Eagle Ticketing Tool and Support Process.
• Provide Tech Support using FAQs/MOPs and assign problems to backend support team if higherlevel support is required.
• Interacting with customers for front-ending all Support related issues
• Raising Ticket to third party vendor for Hardware support
• Ensuring the closer of cases with in defined Support SLAs
• Awareness of Ticketing Tool and Support Process and able to log customer complaint on tool.
• Answer queries using FAQs and First level investigation
• Monitor system where required (as in critical fault situations, post-implementation, migration)
• Make configuration change or apply patch to meet customer requirements or resolve complaints as per MOP
• Persistent Update on the cases in the tool.
• Create stepwise detailed documentation for planned activities as guided.
• Ensuring the timely pick up of cases/first response to customer and basic audit procedure in ticketing tool.
• Timely closure of Minor cases with in defined SLA.
• Creation of FAQ for the problems solved.
• Basic knowledge of the architecture of one of the generations of telephone network and / or architecture IN (STP, SSP, SCP, IP, SDP, OCS, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of operations and flows of CAP and/or SIP messages used for call processing.
• Administration knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar distribution.
• Knowledge on addressing, routing and operation of an IP network.
• Experience in learning and interpreting communication diagrams between elements.
• Minimum experience of 2 years in operating mission-critical IN telephone platforms, accustomed to interacting and working with multiple areas to solve problems.
• Strong experience in the configuration and operation of intelligent network services, such as: Pre-Paid, Number Translation, Call Screening, Yeld Zone, VPN, etc.
• Experience and skills to perform analysis of CDRs and troubleshooting of intelligent network services through tools available through the platform:
• Profile and user management interface.
• Interface of CDRs and signaling traces.
• Configuration tables of the platform modules.
• Configuration tables of services executed by the platform.
• Status management and platform alarms console.

Desired Skills and Expertise
• Relevant Experience (Years) 2 to 4 years
• Education Qualification (Desired) M.Tech/ BE /MCA /BCA
• Experience in preparing an RCA report.
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting KPIs from mission-critical telephony platforms and services.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (English level should be upper intermediate or higher), being clear and concise in your explanations and arguments.
