Myanmar Cineplex Joint Venture Company (BI “JCGV”) was founded by a dual company, CJ CGV originated from Korea and Junction Cineplex, from Myanmar. The new joint venture was approved by the Myanmar Investment Commission on November 1, 2014 . Initially, three existing cinemas, two in the Commercial city of Myanmar known as Yangon and one in the Capital city, Nay Pyi Taw, have been operated asJCGV, a dual company. In early 2015, JCGV plansto open new, latest andwell-designed cinema with 3 screens in second largest city, Mandalay. In the future, the Company aims not only to develop its cinema in famous cities such as Mawlamying, but also to cultivate the largest cinema in Myanmar, by the name of Junction City project in Yangon, 2016.
