With a geographic location close to major markets, rich natural resources and a varied climate, the country is well-suited to playing a leading role in food production for the region. Our ambition is to set a global standard for agriculture value-chain companies as the farmer-focused, sustainable and responsible partner of choice. Myanmar is changing. We believe there is an opportunity to transform Myanmar agriculture by developing meaningful businesses across key parts of the value chain by engaging farmers as customers, as suppliers and as our most important stakeholders.

Myanma Awba Group recognises its role as a responsible corporate citizen. With over 20 years’ track record of rural community building and investing in shared value initiatives in villages across the country, the Group is fully compliant with the tax laws of the Union of Myanmar. Our accounts are audited by internationally-recognised ‘Big Four’ companies and the Group has consistently been identified as a top taxpayer in Myanmar.

Established in 1995, Myanma Awba Group has steadily grown to become the market leader for the Myanmar agricultural sector. With a team of over 1,500 people, we are the country’s largest manufacturer and distributor of agricultural technology and play a leading extension role in training farmers how to optimise their growing practices. Our Research and Development team develops Crop Solutions and tests new products and varieties to bring to market. Myanma Awba Group employs the largest number of agronomists outside the government and commands a footprint that extends across the country. We seek to develop rural areas and farming communities through our distribution and grower support networks.
