The facility is already fully operational, supporting customers from the telecom and consumer sector. Plans are underway to further expand the warehouse and distribution capabilities in Myanmar and DB Schenker is sure to increase its footprint in the country in the near future. Looking towards the future, the company has ambitious growth plans and looks to invest further in its network and service offerings to support its customer’s ever evolving supply chain. DB Schenker has been operating in Myanmar since 1999, as the Yangon Branch of Schenker Thailand, providing freight forwarding services. The logistics division of German railway company Deutsche Bahn has set up a fully owned subsidiary in Myanmar to work with customers in the telecommunications and consumer goods industries. |
