Advans SA is a Microfinance Group currently operating in ten countries, of which seven in Africa (Cameroun, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Tunisia) and three in Asia (Cambodia, Pakistan and Myanmar). Advans Myanmar obtain its Microfinance License in October 2016. Its initial shareholders are Advans SA, Norfund (the Norway Investment Fund for Development – www.norfund.no) and Amret, one of the leading Microfinance Institution in Cambodia (www.amret.com.kh).

Advans Myanmar will offer loans mostly in rural areas via village banking methodology, but also in urban and peri-urban areas via small groups and individual loans. The ambition of Advans Myanmar is to become the preferred financial partner of micro and small farmers and entrepreneurs in Mandalay and Sagaing regions.

The first branch will be launched in Mandalay in Quarter 1, 2017.

In 2019, Advans Myanmar will offer its services to more than 34,000 clients through a network of more than 20 branches and points of sales.
