Job description
POSITION PURPOSE
• To be able to combine technical knowledge with sales skills, the balance depends on the level of technical knowledge and understanding how to sell the product and to respond to clients' queries.
• Create new sales and marketing strategies that target B2B customers and positions our products as the best solutions for prospective clients
• Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
• Managing and interpreting customer requirements
• Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
• Offering after-sales support service
• Should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills.

IMPACT
• Must have product knowledge, understanding of technical specifications, and the expertise to understand customer requirements with regards to product modifications.
• Drive better business outcomes by providing technical expertise and undertaking strategic and technical research on technologies
• Perform efficient & effective sales knowledge to enable business and operational service levels.

• Working with customers to provide excellent customer service skills
• Able to understand the impact and importance of technology to their customers
• Managing own time in a dynamic environment to ensure that daily activities and project work are completed to timelines, scope and an acceptable level of quality
• Continually improving existing processes and procedures to provide efficiencies

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to: Sales Manager
Direct Reports: (Number of positions reporting directly to this position)

Desired Skills and Expertise
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Able to contribute to presales workload on simple solution (less than 3 product)
• Ability to understand customer business requirement and propose suitable product / solution
• Familiar with presales work processes
• Basic understanding of o Virtualization technology o Network topology (WAN / LAN) o Storage technology (NAS / SAN / SAN switches)
• Connectivity of IT infrastructure
• Ability to present a simple technical concept
• Good communication skill
• Strong technical skills
• Organisational skills
• Analytical skills
• Team working skills
• Commercial awareness

BONUS SKILLS
• Excellent client service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Track record of goal achievement and leadership ability
• Experience Peer / Customer / Vendor engagement
• Experience at least 1 end-to-end pre-sales engagement via shadowing session(s)
• Fulfilled at least 1 end-to-end presales opportunity
• Past presales experience on similar job or Hands-on with above products

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
• Master Degree or A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field / Engineering or equivalent
• Energetic, organised & Good communication skills in English (reading , writing & speaking)
• Excellent Presentation Skills

• Interpersonal skills. Strong interpersonal skills are a valuable characteristic for sales engineers, both for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the sales team.
• Problem-solving skills. Sales engineers must be able to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns, and then recommend solutions, possibly including customizing a product.
• Self-confidence. Sales engineers should be confident and persuasive when making sales presentations.
• Technological skills. Sales engineers must have extensive knowledge of the technologically sophisticated products they sell in order to explain their advantages and answer questions.
