Job description
• Under the direction of the Managing Director of the company, develops, implements, and update personnel policies, procedures, and forms. Stays current with laws and regulations affecting personnel issues (Equal employment, employee safety, etc.), employment practices or trends, and recommends new or revised policies and procedures as appropriate.
• Assists and supports department managers and all employees regarding personnel issues. Answers employee questions regarding personnel policies, procedures, and benefits; researches and disseminates topical or timely information to managers and/or employees on personnel issues.
• Coordinates and assists with employee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training; determines employee classifications and ensures completion of all appropriate paperwork for new employees.
• Coordinates and assists the manager with employee reviews and performance appraisals. Coordinates and participates in the completion of terminations and exit interviews.
• Establishes and maintains personnel records and reports; maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
• Prepares and coordinates all accident reports and worker’s compensation reports. Handles follow-up insurance and worker's compensation claims. Handles return-to-work and disability slips.
• Performs other related duties as required or as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Managing Director. Coordinates activities and assists all department managers and employees.

Desired Skills and Expertise
A bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization. Leadership skills are beneficial. Familiarity with personnel standards and regulations at the national level is required; knowledge of state regulations, standards, and guidelines is desired. Project management experience is preferred.
SPHR or comparable HR certification is highly desirable. Membership in a professional organization (e.g., SHRM) is beneficial.

Requirements

• Minimum working experiences of (5) years in the related field
• Excellent command of English (4 skills) – (Relevant Certificate Required)
• Proven working experience as HR Manager or another HR Executive
• People-oriented and results-driven
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• Degree in Human Resources or related field

Technical skills

• Intermediate to advanced experience in using MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Yammer, SharePoint, Planner, OneDrive
• Knowledge of time-tracking software such as TSheet
• Working knowledge of human resource information system, databases, and tools
• IT and numeracy skills, with strong IT skills required if managing/operating computerized payroll and benefits systems
• Ability to analyze, interpret and explain employment law
• Ability to use the Internet
• Ability to type both English and Myanmar
