Intel ဟာ cryptocurrency mining ျပဳလုပ္ရန္ သီးသန႔္ဒီဇိုင္းေရးဆြဲထားသည့္ chip ျပားအသစ္ျဖင့္ blockchain နည္းပညာေဈးကြက္အတြင္း စတင္၍ရင္းႏွီးျမႇဳပ္ႏွံမႈမ်ားျပဳလုပ္လွ်က္ရွိေနၿပီပဲျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ Intel ဟာ တာရွည္ခံႏိုင္မႈအေပၚ ပိုမို၍အဓိကထား၍ “energy-efficient အျဖစ္ဆုံး computing နည္းပညာမ်ားကို တည္ေဆာက္သြားရန္” အစီအစဥ္မ်ားေရးဆြဲလွ်က္ရွိေနၿပီပဲျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ 

Intel ရဲ႕ “blockchain accelerator” လို႔အမည္ေပးထားတဲ့ အဆိုပါ crypto-focused chip ကို ယခုႏွစ္ေႏွာင္းပိုင္းခန႔္တြင္ စတင္ေရာင္းခ်သြားရန္ သတ္မွတ္ထားၿပီး ယခုအခါ Bitcoin mining ကုမၸဏီတစ္ခုျဖစ္တဲ့ GRIID Infrastructures ႏွင့္ Jack Dorsey ပိုင္ဆိုင္တဲ့ Block (ယခင္ Square) ဆိုတဲ့ ကုမၸဏီ (၂) ခုကလည္း ႀကိဳတင္မွာယူမႈမ်ားကို ျပဳလုပ္ထားၿပီးျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ သိရွိရပါတယ္။ 

Intel ရဲ႕ senior vice president ျဖစ္သူ Raja Koduri ရဲ႕ ေၾကျငာခ်က္အရ - “ကြၽႏ္ုပ္တို႔ရဲ႕ circuit innovation မ်ားဟာ SHA-256 based mining ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္းမ်ားအတြက္ mainstream GPU မ်ားထက္ အဆ ၁၀၀၀ ပိုမိုေကာင္းမြန္သည့္ performance per watt ကို ေပးစြမ္းႏိုင္မည့္ blockchain accelerator ကို ထုတ္လုပ္ေရာင္းခ်ေပးႏိုင္မွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္” ဟူ၍ ေျပာၾကားခဲ့ပါတယ္။
