One of UK’s first confirmed cases of the new COVID-19 variant Omicron has been identified

UK ႏိုင္ငံတြင္ ပထမဆုံး COVID-19 မ်ိဳးကြဲ Omicron ျဖစ္ပြားမႈအား စတင္ေတြ႕ရွိခဲ့

UK ႏိုင္ငံတြင္ COVID-19 မ်ိဳးကြဲအသစ္ Omicron ကူးစက္ခံရတဲ့ ပထမဆုံး case တစ္ခုကို အတည္ျပဳႏိုင္ခဲ့ၿပီျဖစ္ၿပီး အဆိုပါ Omicron virus ကူးစက္ခံရသူမွာ Nottingham တကၠသိုလ္မွ ေက်ာင္းသားတစ္ဦးျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရွိရပါတယ္။ လြန္ခဲ့တဲ့ စေနေန႔က Nottingham ႏွင့္ Essex ျပည္နယ္မ်ားရွိ လူ (၂) ဦးဟာ အဆိုပါ COVID-19 မ်ိဳးကြဲအသစ္ ကူးစက္ခံခဲ့ရေၾကာင္း UK အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားမွ ေၾကျငာခ်က္ ထုတ္ျပန္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။

Nottingham တကၠသိုလ္မွ ေတာင္အာဖရိကတိုက္တြင္ စတင္ေတြ႕ရွိခဲ့တဲ့ အဆိုပါ virus မ်ိဳးကြဲကို COVID positive ေတြ႕ရွိရတဲ့ sample ကို ထပ္မံစစ္ေဆးမႈမ်ားျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့တဲ့အတြက္ ေဖာ္ထုတ္ႏိုင္ခဲ့တာျဖစ္ၿပီး ကူးစက္ခံထားရတဲ့ အဆိုပါေက်ာင္းသားဟာ ေလာေလာဆယ္တြင္ ေက်ာင္းသို႔တက္ေရာက္ျခင္းမရွိပဲ self-isolating ျပဳလုပ္ေနေၾကာင္းကိုလည္း ေျပာၾကားခဲ့ပါတယ္။ UK Health Security Agency (USHSA) အဖြဲ႕ရဲ႕ ထုတ္ျပန္ခ်က္အရေတာ့ အဆိုပါ Nottingham ႏွင့္ Essex ျပည္နယ္မ်ားတြင္ ျဖစ္ပြားခဲ့တဲ့ case (၂) ခုစလုံးဟာ ေတာင္အာဖရိကတိုက္သို႔ ခရီးသြားလာခဲ့မႈႏွင့္ ဆက္စပ္ေနေၾကာင္း သိရွိရပါတယ္။

Nottingham တကၠသိုလ္ရဲ႕ ေျပာေရးဆိုခြင့္ရပုဂၢိဳလ္မွ Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) သို႔လည္း “ကြၽႏ္ုပ္တို႔အေနနဲ႔ ပုံမွန္အတိုင္းဆိုလွ်င္ case တစ္ခုျခင္းစီအေပၚ မွတ္ခ်က္ေပးျခင္းျပဳလုပ္ေလ့မရွိေသာ္လည္း ဒီေက်ာင္းသားဟာ ယခုအခါႏိုင္ငံတစ္ဝွမ္းလုံးသို႔ျပန႔္ပြားကူးစက္လွ်က္ရွိေနတဲ့ Omicron virus မ်ိဳးကြဲကူးစက္ခံရတဲ့ case မ်ားထဲတြင္ တစ္ခုအပါအဝင္ျဖစ္ေနတယ္ဆိုတာကိုေတာ့ အတည္ျပဳႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ ဒီေက်ာင္းသားဟာလည္း လက္ရွိတြင္ ေက်ာင္းသို႔တက္ေရာက္ေနျခင္းမရွိပဲ ကူးစက္ခံရတဲ့အခ်ိန္တစ္ေလွ်ာက္လုံးတြင္ self-isolation ျပဳလုပ္ေနခဲ့တာျဖစ္ၿပီး ကြၽႏ္ုပ္တို႔ဟာ ျပည္သူ႔က်န္းမာေရးအာဏာပိုင္မ်ားႏွင့္အတူတကြပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္႐ြက္မႈမ်ားကို ျပဳလုပ္၍ အဆိုပါေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကို ကူညီေထာက္ပံ့ေပးမႈမ်ားျပဳလုပ္ေပးလွ်က္ရွိေနၿပီး သူတို႔ျမန္ဆန္စြာ ျပန္လည္က်န္းမာလာဖို႔ကိုလည္း ဆုေတာင္းေပးေနပါတယ္” ဟူ၍ ေျပာဆိုခဲ့ပါတယ္။
